Hi,
Thank you for the bug reported.
It seems that Magic Members plugin uses jQuery UI scripts (without jQuery UI standard styles of the jQuery UI package) on the plugin page, but our plugin uses jQuery UI scripts and jQuery UI standard styles, therefore this jQuery UI standard styles also applies to the plugin page. We’ll think about solution of this issue and if we resolve it, we’ll add the fix in one of the future plugin updates.
Sincerely,
BestWebSoft Support Team
So… this is proven and identified bug, yet your response is “if we resolve it”?
Typically, only UK companies have such a non-proactive response about product proficiency. Incredible. If my plugin development was causing multiple others to fail, it would result in immediate resolve not optional consideration.
Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
We cannot provide the compatibility with each and every WordPress plugin or theme. But please, be sure, this issue is under our consideration.
Let us know if you have any additional questions.
Sincerely,
BestWebSoft Support Team
Unfortunately, version 1.9.5 still trashes Magic Members plugin, along with Advanced Database Cleaner and probably others. I have a working relationship with the head developer of Magic Members, Priyabrata Sarkar, a 15 year veteran of PHP. He stated, “The PDF & Print library plugins for WordPress does not use a buffer which conflicts with the header buffer MGM uses, we are in the process of eliminating header buffers but not all client servers support the feature. This is sure to be problem for other plugins like Advanced Database Cleaner.” He said the adjustment would have to come from Bestwebsoft.
Never mind. It is clear that BestWebSoft has no intention of developing plugins that work properly with other plugins. We have deleted PDF & Print by BestWebSoft and replaced with DK PDF By Emili Castells which works perfectly, without trashing other plugins in the process. It would behoove BestWebSoft to seek out qualified developers for your products, where users will abandon faltering plugins in preference of working ones, just as we have done.
