So there’s some good news here! It’s actually impossible for any plugin to DELETE your data from Google Analytics! They can’t delete it, they can’t exit it, and they can’t stop it from showing.
If the official Google dashboard is showing nothing but the plugin is, then either you’re looking at the wrong account or you accidentally connected the plugin to the wrong account.
Either way, it absolutely can’t nuke things on Google, so the data’s there.
Dear @ipstenu,
Of course, ExactMetrics cannot delete our Google Analytics data, but the message they display when disconnecting our site(s) from this plugin says the opposite:
Successfully deauthenticated.
You’ve disconnected your site from ExactMetrics. Your site is no longer being tracked by Google Analytics and you won’t see reports anymore.
This clearly induces site administrators to think that we will lose our data, obviously with the intention of reconnecting the plugin.

Except … this is 100% correct.
Your site is no longer being tracked by Google Analytics
You turned off tracking. It says nothing about the data, and that is in no way the ‘opposite.’ It is clearly saying your site won’t be tracked and data will not be sent to google.
You could say “you won’t see reports in WP Admin anymore.” but that’s about the only possible confusing bit.
