I followed your instructions for my Home page and it testing fine. (Thank you. That was easy.)
However, when I created a schema for one of my posts, following your video, the test results from Google data testing tool showed 12 errors. But the errors were for missing content in required fields. That content is in fact added, but it’s not being seen?

The errors are listing all of the fields of your plugin. I’m wondering what the problem might be.

Overall, though, your plugin at least got me my basic schema info on the Home page. That’s a big problem solved already. 🙂

Interesting. You’re right about under “article” section there are no errors, but under “WebPage” section, there are. (you can see the screenshot here: https://dotorgwebworks.org/screenshot-Google_tool.jpg)

These errors occurred only once I enabled the schema for this post.

    Your thoughts?

I disabled all the plugins and there was no change. Then I enabled all but your plugin, still there was no change. The schema still shows up. Is there another step I need to do to clear up your schema markup?

    Thanks

Update on the problem. (I think you’re right,)

After deleting your plugin (and first checking the box to delete any markup from your plugin) I found that the issue is still there. I then created a new post and saw that the issue was still there.

What I think is happening is that the recently updated Yoast SEO plugin is somehow responsible for the dozen error messages I get within an existing or new “post” (I’m not seeing the issue on “pages”). And, the errors do not show up on the actual Article, i.e.: https://dotorgwebworks.org/post-test/ but on some sort of derivative of it, i.e.: https://dotorgwebworks.org/post-test/top.

So, if there is any insight or advice you could offer me, that would be great. I will re-install your plugin and try using it again soon since it does offer a lot of great features for article posts.

Thanks for your work on this plugin.

After fussing with the Yoast SEO and then re-testing, the problem appears to be coming from the Enfold theme that I use.

The errors are appearing in the Footer of my Post page. It’s coming from a short-code that is created from the theme’s shortcode generator. It’s automatically wrapping the shortcode with an “<Article class>” tag, which the Google Structured Data Testing Tool is seeing as an error.

I’m going to re-install your plugin to see how this works out.

Thanks for your patience on this.

Fixed. It was a conflict with the Enfold theme. Once I turned off the Schema option they provide (in: Enfold > Layout Builder) the errors went away.
