    hi –
A commenter wanted to know why the site wasn’t remembering her info from comment to comment; it remembers me so I thought maybe it remembers you as a user. I created a test user to see and it didn’t seem to make any difference; in my main browser it still remembered my old info and in a different browser the comment info fields were blank. Is there some sort of cookies issue here? Is it supposed to remember you?
Plus, I tried to delete the test user but their level was already at zero with no way I could see to change it, and there was no red X button to delete them with.

Doh! I was still logged in as the test user so no wonder. Ignore that part; the Red X was back when I logged back in as the admin. I blame the lack of sleep.
But I’m still curious about remembering commenters – is that cookie based, and does it depend on being a registered user or not?
    thanks

Thanks mark. So if it’s not remembering her then she might have cookies turned off or somehow otherwise disabled, I should assume?

Ah you replied so quickly before I had a chance to edit it.
    And more to edit.
You can use ‘test’ for the username for comments but it is in no way associated with the login/admin panel you use to post articles, change options, etc. So if someone used “admin” for the comment they could because it has no user database per se. Anyone can use anyone’s name/e-mail/website address for comments because there are essentially no accounts for comments.
Back on topic, yes she needs to find out if cookies are disabled/blocked/etc.
