Anyone else who has this problem and finds this thread: just delete UpdraftPlus and re-install. The current release now has the fix in. Or alternatively, update to the dev version: http://updraftplus.com/faqs/devversion

Just wanted to add that this same problem is happening to me. I have 4 sites using UpdraftPlus but only one has this issue. Installing the update to see if this resolves it.

Depending on the exact time when you updated to the dev version, you may need to do so again (and probably should update again anyway) – http://updraftplus.com/faqs/devversion/ – we introduced a separate bug into the dev version for about 24 hours that caused other problems; that is now gone.

I have the same problem. I have curently 3 installations and at one of them i get tons of backups a today.
I try it with delete and re install now.
I will buy the dev Version i have over 50 blogs.
Is there a coupon out? 🙂

Hi Joerg,
When did you update to 1.7.20 ? More recently, 1.7.20 already has the fix (whether from ww.wp.xz.cn or updraftplus.com). So possibly you just need to de-install and re-install. (Get the version from updraftplus.com, whether free or paid, to guarantee getting all the fixes – the one in ww.wp.xz.cn is missing 1 tiny fix (that only affected 1 person)).
For the Premium developer version we don’t have any active coupons at the mo – actually haven’t launched any general coupons yet; we’ve been so focussed on development that we haven’t much strategic thinking about marketing yet! We’ve given some coupons to non-profits, but it doesn’t sound like you’re one of those!
