  • Hi @idwikat,

Thanks for choosing Neve, we’re glad you like it!

I checked the source code for a few starter sites, but none of the ones I checked have two canonical links or two h1 tags. Does this happen on a certain starter site or on a certain page? Also, it would be great if you could provide us the URL to your site so we can check this.

    Thank you!

    Thanks for replying.

I don’t use starter sites, I installed the theme then activated it.
canonical link problem is site wide, h1 problem is homepage.

    Hi @idwikat!

I tested this on my end but for me there is only one canonical link and one h1 tag on the homepage. Could you please try to disable all the plugins, starting with optimization or caching ones, and check if the issue still occurs with all the plugins disabled? Sometimes optimization plugins make certain changes to the site to make it faster and this may be the case here as well. If the issue disappears this way, you should reactivate the plugins one by one while refreshing the site and checking if the issue reappears. If you find the plugin that could be causing this, we would suggest changing it with an alternative one.

    I hope this helps!

    Thank you so much

The canonical link problem solved. it was because Yoast SEO Plugin & Sitemap by BestWebSoft Plugin, but the two h1 tag problem is still there.

    Hello @idwikat ,

Thank you for confirming that the canonical issue was produced by a plugin conflict!

As for the H1 issue, from what I can see, the divs are different (mobile and desktop) thus I’m thinking you can hide the mobile one with CSS using the display:none command as a quick fix if you cannot find the cause.

I have tested this behavior on my testing instance and I couldn’t replicate it thus it must be some particular setting in your environment that produces this issue.

Thank you for understanding and have an amazing day!
