If the manual UA code is entered at the network panel, you won’t have to do it on a site by site basis. If you use authentication to get reports, that needs to be done on a site by site basis.
To add editors to the tracking go to the settings panel, in the tracking tab and then into the permissions subtab, and you’ll find a select setting for user roles to view reports

Thanks for replying 🙂
1) Unless I am wrong, your tutoriel doesn’t mention the network panel. That’s why I did authenticate on the main site.
Anyway I just deautenticate on main site and instead, entered the UA code in the network panel.
The outcome is still the same: on main site and each subsite, in Insights/Dashboard, I still get asked to authenticate.
Can you help?
2) Role permissions: Got it. Thank you very much.
Hi there,
As mentioned above, manual authentication, using the UA code at the network panel, will not allow you to access reports on subsites. This feature is used for quick deployment without reporting to networks. The only way to utilize reports on subsites at this time is to authenticate on each subsite individually.

OK but when entering the UA code on the network, the main site dashboard was as empty as the subsites dashboards.
Anyway, I have only 1 main site and 2 subsites so I just remode the UA code from the network and instead, I did authenticate the main site and subsites. It still doesn’t show any statistics but I suppose I just have to wait till tomorrow. I hope it will work.
So for now I suppose it’s OK. If tomorrow it’s not, I’ll come back to you.
Thank you for your attention and help.
Yes that is correct. If entered in at the network panel, the subsites panels will not contain a value. This allows for overrides of the network UA code at each subsite. Think of the network UA code as the default UA code. At each subsite you may override this default through manual UA code or via authentication.
Authentication takes up to 24 hours for existing GA accounts and 48 hours for new ones to populate
