2014 theme modification

    I am as green as they come to Word Press. With that said can anyone tell me if 2014 will work for me or if there is a similar theme that might? I am basically looking for the exact style that is the 2014 theme but I want my photo header to run all the way across the page fully from side to side. I also need to be able to customize buttons (I think they are called widgets) and name them what I want where they are linked to other pages both inside and outside of wordpress. Is this possible with the standard 2014 theme? If not is there a theme that fits my needs as described above?

    I guess to clarify what I am looking for, I would like the header to run all the way across the page.

    I would also like the area where you write text or posts to go further to the other side of the page and make the border about the same width on that side as the left side of the page where the recent threads and other links are. This way the page is symmetrical and the text or post area is centered on the page.

    I did look around some but did not really find exactly what I was hoping for.

    Playing with the settings and looking at my site I did get it set up like I want but now have to figure out setting up the widgets and those limits and options. I also have to figure out how to enlarge a picture and stop it from losing its quality but that is another topic.

    My last pending question is to see if it is possible to make the page expand so the sides of the page do not get larger when viewing on a wide screen monitor. So the page always loads centered?
