• I upgraded to 2.2 and now have many problems but the two main ones are:

1= may pages have become posts and the page tabs in the header are gone. My admin panel for pages contains no pages now.

When I edit an old post and then save I get the a series error message starting with
    Table ‘jbsherma_wrdp1.wp_email_list_config’ doesn’t exist

2= (issue solved)my images no longer display. I am not sure if this is a WP issue because I added a G2 gallery and used a search and replace plugin to change the image links. However, I check the links and they look valid to me and the files are at the link location.

  • What version did you upgrade from?

The wp_email_list_config would suggest you have some plugin that uses that table as that is not a standard WordPress table.

    I upgraded from 2.1.

I have tried disabling the plugin but I still get the errors when I edit old posts. Is there a way to remove the reference to the table. It sounds like the plugin did not create the table when after I upgraded.

I have also noticed that not only have I lost my pages but when I create new pages now they do not appear in the header using the K2 theme. Only the blog link appears. I tried switching to the default theme then I get no page links.

Are those missing pages in wp_posts (they’ll have post_type of page)?

Do you have backup from before the upgrade?

I have a backup of the old site. In fact I just renamed my the blog folder so everything is still on the server and I also did a backup using wp-backup. However when I renamed the old blog back to ´blog´ it forced me to upgrade the database. I am thinking I need to delete the database and then reinstall 2.2. clean and install old blog.

I used myphpadmin and searched for one of the lost pages and did find them in wp_posts, but they have a post type of post instead of page. Can I just change this in myphpadmin?

I am studying importing a the last backup I have. Should I delete my current file and start fresh and then import my last good backup which is on WP 2.1.

Is there a way to preserve the posts I have made since the last backup and view them offline even if I loose all the formatting.

    Thanks

The email list error seems to have disappeared and tried to reactivate plugins but am getting a ´fatal error´ when I activate the sidebar widget plugin.
