Hi @daffydd57 ,
Thanks for using PublishPress Future.
Could you please try this tutorial and let us know if the issue persists?
https://publishpress.com/blog/publishpress-future/24-hour-time-format-in-publishpress-future/
Thanks,
Hi Riza,
We have our WordPress settings as we want them. Why would you now ask a user to change core settings? 3.1.3 and prior PPF versions used the 24 hour format. Now all of a sudden you want us to change our WP settings because you decided to add an AM/PM button (which takes up valuable space). I don’t get it. You are making the app harder to use.
Sorry – I don’t mean to come across surly, but this is a working site and we are super busy. We have many users that need to work quickly, they are affected by the slightest changes to plugins. It makes us grumpy to update and find something like this. No disrespect intended to you or developers.
@daffydd57 I understand. However we did not change that, and we always take that time format from WordPress setting.
You can check this recording: https://www.loom.com/share/e03e34f7e89f4025a9749bebdba2058b
On this recording I use both 3.1.3 and 3.1.4 and both showing same behavior, AM/PM showing only when I set that on WordPress setting.
I don’t have time for a recording at the moment. Please see screenshots below. !st screen is using 3.1.3, 2nd is our WP time settings (as they have always been), 3rd is FFP widget showing that it IS using the 24 time format with the WP settings set as in screen 2. I don’t know what else you would need.

Did the video help? As you can see the AM/PM button is new to us – all prior to 3.1.4 versions allowed 24 hour format fro PPF even with WP time settings set to AM/PM.
Thanks
Daf
@daffydd57 Thanks for the recording.
You did not mentioned the first and important thing about this issue, which is: using classic editor.
In version 3.1.5, we made the decision to use the same box for both Gutenberg and the Classic editor. The previous separate boxes were causing issues and were difficult to manage.
Now, both the Classic editor and Gutenberg use the same box, providing us with more control and flexibility.
However, in this new box, the only way to achieve a 24-hour format is by changing the time format in WordPress settings.
Thanks,
Hi @daffydd57, Riza is right, 3.1.5 doesn’t support that anymore, but we just implemented a new beta with a new settings allowing to force the 24h format if you want.
Feel free to test, installing the package below:
https://github.com/publishpress/PublishPress-Future/releases/tag/3.1.6-beta.3
Please, visit the Future > Settings > Advanced and set the time format to 24h.
Hey Anders, thank you for adding that option! I tried the beta and it works perfectly. Also resolved the other issue we had here:

We appear to be good to go.
Thanks again!
