• Hi there

I recently upgraded my wordpress installation (http://www.projectormonkey.com) from 2.7.1 to 2.8, and when I did so, I found that the jQuery UI tabs on my theme stopped working. The tabs that I used were based on this tutorial: http://net.tutsplus.com/javascript-ajax/create-a-tabbed-interface-using-jquery/

I have read that the problem could be due to an update to the jQuery and jQueryUI libraries within the WP 2.8 update, however I have tried for hours and hours now to fix the problem with no luck whatsoever. I have even tried to get the tabs to work on a blank html document, including the jquery files needed from the WP includes folder (files: ui.core.js ui.tabs.js and jquery.js), however the tabs still did not work which confused me even more so.

Does anyone have any idea whatsoever what the problem could be? Is any one using any tab function successfully in WP 2.8 that they could recommend instead of jQuery? I am completely stumped here so hopefully someone can help me out.

    Thanks for your time
    Ryan B

    Issue resolved (sort of)

I’ve simply included the old jQuery and jQuery UI files in my wordpress header.. not ideal but its the only easy workaround I’ve got!
