2.8 Upgrade Error – l to undefined method WP_Scripts::do_head_items()

    I have just done a manual upgrade from 2.7.1 to 2.8 and I now get the following error when I go into admin or click an entry from the home page of the blog:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined method WP_Scripts::do_head_items() in /home/yourwedd/public_html/wedding_news/wp-includes/script-loader.php on line 566

    Any ideas on how to fix this ?
