Hi @oceanexpressions
I would like to have a look at your Wordfence diagnostics report. Please go to the top of the “Diagnostics” tab on the Wordfence “Tools” page. There will be a “SEND REPORT BY EMAIL” button to send the diagnostics report. Enter wftest [at] wordfence [dot] com as the email and oceanexpressions as the forum username please.
Once you have emailed me the diagnostics report can you reply here to let me know that it has been sent. This is important in the unlikely event that your installation of WordPress is having an issue with sending mail.
Hello @wfphil
Thank you so much for this response.
I have sent the diagnostics report by email as you requested.
I saw “Wordfence is working” highlighted in yellow at the bottom right of the screen after I clicked send so I want to assume that it was sent successfully.
Thank you for your help!

Hi @oceanexpressions
The report hasn’t arrived so WordPress may not be able to send all mail. You can ask your hosting provider to check the mail server for any problems.
If you have at least Wordfence version 7.4.9 installed then you can export a report instead. There will be an EXPORT button at the top of the page to export a diagnostics report text file.
Attach the text file in an email and send to wftest [at] wordfence [dot] com. Add your username oceanexpressions to the email subject field so that I can find it.
Once you have sent the email can you reply here to let me know that it has been sent.
I attempted to do as you requested but each time I tried to export the diagnostics report a new tab opened up of a blank white page with an error message, “{“errorMsg”:”Your browser sent an invalid security token to Wordfence. Please try reloading this page or signing out and in again.”,”tokenInvalid”:1}”.
I can send you an email with a snapshot of the actual error message if you prefer.
I signed out, refreshed etc and I got the same error message.
Just FYI I have Wordfence 7.5.7 installed.
I can check with my host provider if the mail server has any issues but I do doubt it as I have no issues with any of my website’s email accounts.
Thank you for your continued assistance

Hi @oceanexpressions
Thank you for the update.
That error message repeating is usually caused by a plugin or custom code modifying the load ordering of JavaScript files.
As you can’t send a diagnostics report can you ask your hosting provider if your database is set up to allow the use of the InnoDB storage engine.
Hello again @wfphil
I relayed your questions to a tech at my hosting provider and she looked into the case but could not find any server related issues to be causing troubles either with the database or mail service.
However, she recommended a security plugin my host provides for WordPress that has 2FA and I have successfully activated that instead.
I sincerely thank you for all your help 🙂

Hi @oceanexpressions
Thank you for the update.
If your hosting provider has said that your database is set up to allow the use of the InnoDB storage engine then the next thing to do would be to analyze your PHP error log files if you want to investigate further.
