    Hi @hipromed,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Our 2FA may not work on the custom login pages generated by themes and other plugins, even though you are using WooCommerce and we have provided compatibility for WooCommerce:

    https://www.wordfence.com/help/tools/two-factor-authentication/

If the QR code works in Wordfence > Login Security in the WordPress dashboard, but not on your custom page, then it means that it is likely incompatible with an installed plugin or theme.

    Thanks,
    Margaret

    Hi!
I’ve checked if the QR code was showing in “Wordfence > Login Security”, and yes, it is working, but, after that, I deactivated and actived every single plugin that I’m using, and i found the incompatibility one but I can’t keep this one off, since it is my page builder, Elementor. There’s another way to make it works?

    Thank you in advance,
    Hipromed

    Hi Hipromed,

Can you try loading the page with the QR code while keeping a Browser Console open to see if you can detect any JavaScript errors or files that fail to load? If you see any red text in the console, please take a screenshot of it and send it to me and I will help you interpret the errors.

You could also review your PHP error log for any related errors. Please send over any new error log entries generated when visiting the Wordfence 2FA page, and I’ll be happy to take a look.

    Thanks,
    Margaret

    Hello Margaret!
In console log, it is showing a issue: “multiple ID value”. You can check on link below:
    https://prnt.sc/c_uyFQBH58oS
    But nothing else.

    Hi @hipromed,

Thanks for following up. We haven’t seen this issue caused by Elementor specifically before. I suspect the errors in the browser console are related to the theme, such as if a form was being added to the page twice.

If you have access to a staging site, please check whether the QR code loads using another theme, such as the default Twenty Twenty-Five, when Elementor is active. If your current theme or Elementor settings are incompatible, you may need to disable the WooCommerce integration for Wordfence’s 2FA.

Let me know how it goes,
    Margaret

    Hello Margaret!
    I’m testing the following ways:

    Twenty Twenty-Five + Elementor = https://prnt.sc/_kgFvefciW33
    Twenty Twenty-Five (only, without Elementor) = https://prnt.sc/tyfJPU3wGI8I
    My usual theme + Elementor = https://prnt.sc/jpkfOXocXEKS
My usual theme (only, without Elementor) = https://prnt.sc/KjBp375NDjZh

When I switch the theme but I still use elementor, the QR Code doesn’t show, but when I turn off Elementor PRO plugin it works.

    Hey @hipromed,

Thanks for sending that over. When you have Elementor enabled, I see you’re receiving CORS errors, and the site is trying to load resources from a subdomain 2fawordfance. This is misspelled and isn’t a part of our plugin’s normal functioning. Have you made any modifications to load the 2FA over a unique subdomain?

Can you also send a diagnostic report to wftest @ wordfence . com? You can find the link to do so at the top of the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

NOTE: It should look as follows – Screenshot of Tools > Diagnostic > Send by Email

    Thanks,
    Margaret

    Hi Margaret!
I didn’t made any modifications to load 2FA, i was running it on Hostinger’s testing enviroment, and the domain that I made for this test was “2fawordfance”, you can check it below:
    https://prnt.sc/gSk21sL8yFhH

Should I try it on the main page instead of the testing one?

I just sent the diagnostics report.

    Thank you in advance

    Hi @hipromed,

My apologies for misreading the error, and thank you for explaining. I don’t think you’ll see any difference if you test on the main site other than in the unrelated resources that were blocked from loading by CORS.

I ran a few tests on my own site with Elementor, as well as with several of the other plugins from your diagnostics, but I wasn’t able to replicate the issue.

Does the QR code fail to load even if Elementor and Wordfence are the only plugins enabled? If so, there may be a custom element being added by Elementor Pro that is leading to the incompatibility. Unfortunately, it would be difficult to narrow it down without a related error.

    Thanks,
    Margaret

    Hi Margaret!
There’s a few others plugins enabled, not only Wordfence and Elementor. I tried to deactivate some others, and only when I deactivated the Elementor it works. Do you want access on test to check what it could be? Maybe it can help, send me your e-mail and I’ll give you access, if not, I can check every single plugin to found any other error.

    Thank you in advance,
    Hipromed

    Hi @hipromed,

While I appreciate the thought, please don’t offer site login information, as it goes against forum guidelines: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/guidelines/

On the staging site, you could deactivate every plugin, and then reactivate only Wordfence and Elementor. This would confirm whether the issue is specifically something you have configured in Elementor. You could then check through individual elements you’ve customized in Elementor, or reach out to Elementor support to see if they have any suggestions for debugging the incompatibility.

    Thanks,
    Margaret

    Hi Margaret!
I’m sorry, I gonna pay attention on those guidelines.
I tried turn off every plugin and kept only Elementor, WooCommerce and WordFence, but it still having the QR Code issue. I didn’t said before, but this issue only happens on desktop mode, the mobile mode is showing normally. I’m sending an ticket to Elementor’s support too and check if they have any idea what it could be.

    Thank you!

    Hi @hipromed,

It’s been my pleasure! Hopefully, they can point you in the right direction. I’m going to mark this thread resolved as there’s nothing more I can do here, but if you find out anything, please let me know!

    Cheers,
    Margaret
