Did you backup before you upgraded if so you restore using backup.
The most important is your wp-content folder as that is where you have all your plugins, themes and uploads. You will need to backup your database as that is where all your settings and contents are saved. wp-config.php file as this file is used to connect to your database and has other settings.
Did you try and switch to default theme see if you have same problem.
Have you tried clearing any caching on your site? Have you tried deactivating plugins to see if any are causing this problem?
Using an old version of WP is not recommended as it’s a security risk.
where is the data base file or folder?
I have a daily system back up so everything is backed up. I have had this theme for 3 years and never had a problem until now…with this 3.6 upgrade…the text on the page goes to the edge — no margin…I have 2 nav menus and one doesn’t show. The width of the body does match the width of the banner anymore…wider and stretched…So do you think it is the theme? Can I change the theme without risk other than cosmetic and can I change it back if it doesn’t correct the problem?
I am thinking of just going back to 3.5 until I get this sorted. because it looks good to the public.
Thank you, Teresa
Database is on the server in MyPhpAdmin is not a file or folder. If you have cpanel account you can back up using the backup icon
Can you post your url so we can see the problem.
Thank you very much for all your kind help…I done a couple of the things…I think I will change the them and then re-install theme and see if that works. The theme has a good usage and a good reputation so I think it is ok….maybe something got corrupted or something. Wish me luck…everything is backed up..Teresa
