3.9.1. equals zero access

    Logging into my WordPress account today, I just wanted to make some edits to my website. When I would try to click on any of the links to do that from my dashboard, it would lead me to a WordPress page that states “No Update Required, your WordPress Database is already up-to-date!”

    So now I have no idea what to do because I have zero access to my website. Isn’t that the whole reason to go with WordPress? to have creative freedom?

    Any suggestions would be great. I’ve already submitted a ticket to the site’s host to have them begin to investigate the problem. Hopefully this all just clears up, but that would be a miracle.

    Try:
    – switching to the default theme automatically by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php
