4.0.1. tested!

One more perfect update, for my site. I’ve tested and everything looks awesome. Thanks @romik84 for support!
The only problem is that pingdom changed everything and my site from 99% is now 84%.
So Santa has a problem as he promised me a 100% until Xmas. (Romik???)
Of course i’m joking π
Keep doing the great job for all of us!

@nickpapag can you please provide the website URL? I didnt add anything special which would affect so big the speed change.
@romik84 i think that this has to do with pingdom. The pingdom’s site is totally different and the score changed after they made the changes and not with the theme.

My site is very fast!@nicpapag if you check this with gtmetrix, you usually get more significant results than with the pingdom tools
@romik84 I see it exactly like @nicpapag – another perfect updateOur results with gtmetrix:
Performance Scores
PageSpeed Score: (97%)
YSlow Score: (86%)

@hage yes i know (gtmetrix gives 91%) and the test is from Canada). The old Gtmetrix and before romik’s big update gave me a 72%. After big update was 99% and now they made changes again and see 84%. I don’t really care because my site is faster than ever. I mentioned it because we had a conversation with Romik about the 1% just for fun. Thanks
@nickpapag Maybe this will bring a bit more speed: I use free plugins autoptimize and cache enabler with a lot of success as caching plugins. Stable and super fast

@hage i use w3tc. The problem with my site is that is big enough (with a big database). I have over 5000 photos, over 1200 articles and is free hosted in Greek School Network with other thousands of sites. So as it is now is great believe me.
2 years ago you’ve made a click, go for vacations and when u where back you’d probably see that u had small vacations! π The servers had been updated, and the support from staff helped me a lot, so i’m not complaining at all. Thank u for your suggestions!!!-

sounds exciting π
but seriously: we also have also a school website (https://gesamtschule-stolberg.de), but not a free hoster. I can understand that you are very satisfied under these conditions.-

It seems so, when I test the theme, even the premium version I got 100% in GTMetrix for PageSpeed Score and 87% For YSlow Score, so probably they changed some algorithms. For YSlow is lower because I don’t use an CDN. Tested page https://demo.theme4press.com/, without any plugins, just blank theme. BTW – on my websites I use WP Supercache as it’s a simple caching plugin for maybe 8 years since working wih WP π
@romik84 yes, indeed. WP Supercache is a really good plugin.
@nickpapag I also like your website very much – really great job π-

Yes they changed the algorithms and if u see pingdom now is not showing how the score is created. They say in their blog that still changing things. Anyway.. we don’t care about numbers @romik84 as soon as we have fast and really beautiful sites!!!
Thank U!!!And one more thing!
In this forum (and i mean the evolve forum) i’ve met really great people! The most of them are trying to help u even when they’re dealing with bigger problems than yours. I really enjoy reading the Threads, and believe me all i’ve learned in wordpress i’ve learned it here!
So thanks to all evolvers!@nickpapag extremely happiness is welcome π same like reviews if satisfied π
Of course π
The only problem i had… the 5 stars not enough π -
