4.3.1 – preload keeps stalling

    When I run the Preload Cache overnight it often stalls and when you view, it says’Run Now’ but like say ‘Preloading posts found in sitemap: 701 out of 2940 URLs preloaded’. So I have to click Run Now to make it start running again. Sometimes I have to do this several times over a 10 hour period. When it has completed it will say ‘Preload completed at 10.00am….’ for example.
    Question – why does it stall?

    Hi,

    Thanks for reporting this! Was it working as expected on 4.3.0? I will set up one of my test sites with a similar number of URLs in the sitemap and see if I can produce similar results.

    I’ll let you know how the tests go!

    Hi,

    Thanks for your patience. In my testing on a site with 2615 URLs the preloader is working but one thing I’m noticing is the number is not changing in the Preload tab unless I refresh the page. I do also see the “Run Now” button because it was kicked off by the scheduled preload rather than manually.

    If you have the scheduled preloader running and you refresh the page after a few seconds does the number of preloaded URLs update?
