    Hi guys,

I installed this plugin just to make sure the emails would send from the website rather than from my server but I get dozens of emails every day with the 4.3.2 Internal Server Error, even with the fallback option! It’s a bit of a pain because this doesn’t happen for all orders made through the website, it seems to be intermittent. Is there a misconfiguration somewhere or is there something that needs to done?

I need to get to the bottom of this ASAP because the website is a competition website and ticket numbers are emailed to customers and it’s a rather time sensitive issue getting this resolved.

    Thanks,
    Martin

  • Hi @martin89,

I have only just seen your support request – and have only recently been supporting this plugin. Are you still in need of assistance with this?

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Tim,

Yes I am still in need of assistance with this problem. A lot of emails are still not being sent to customers or to my client for notification of new order etc.

    Kind Regards,
    Martin

    Hi @martin89,

Thanks for the log – that all looks fairly okay. The error that you are seeing seems to originate from the SMTP server.

Looking at TSOHost’s (I believe this is your SMTP host), the below limits are imposed. You’re not exceeding this are you?
    Per User: 200 emails/hour, 500 emails/day

Have you spoken with TSOHost about the account you are sending from? Have you tried another SMTP provider (ex. Gmail, Microsoft, etc)?

    Kind Regards,
    Tim

    Hi Tim,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Yes I had spoken to them when this issue originated as I wanted to make sure I wasn’t exceeding any quota or had any restrictions etc before reaching out to you guys. They said no there were no restrictions on my account or a limit for the number of emails that could be sent.

    Kind Regards,
    Martin

    Hi Martin,

That’s unusal – almost all hosting (and SMTP) providers have some kind of limit to prevent abuse, even if it is really high.

Do you have the ability to test another SMTP provider (ex. Gmail or Microsoft)?

The error 4.3.2 Internal Server Error is generated by the SMTP server – so it’s difficult to do much else from the plugin side.

    Kind Regards,
    Tim
