Firstly I appoligise if this has been answered a hundred times but I don’t see anything in the search that looks exactly like my problem.

I just followed the “Giving WordPress its own directory” instructions for my site http://www.countrytraveleronline.com

The files have always been in http://www.countrytraveleronline.com/content
but I decided I wanted it to show up at the server root at http://www.countrytraveleronline.com

I changed the blog address to the server root and copied index.php and let wordpress generate a new .htaccess file for the root and added the calendar rules back into .htaccess. I’m using permalinks set to date and time based.

the blog seemingly loads fine but all the links on the page generate a server 403 error. interestingly enough links that still reference the content folder generate a blog 404 page.

I just did this same move on another server with the same host and I am not having any trouble there though I am pretty sure they are not consistant with their server setups.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I should mention that currently I have the blog URL set to the /content folder so when you visit the domain it loads the blog in the root but when you follow a link it quietly moves you into the /content folder.

I suppose it would be ok to leave it like this but this is clearly not functioning like it is supposed to so I have concerns that there are other symptoms that are not immediately obvious.
