    my wordpress updated overnight automatically and now when i go to specific posts, i get 404 errors. I checked the wp-config.php file and it was fine, i checked the hosting and database – all work fine. I deleted all the wordpress files and reloaded them via ftp (Now im in process of reloading all my pics), I can access the backend of the site and the index page on the frontend of the site but no change. I tried to open the .htaccess file but nothing would open it. so I deleted – no change. and then I reloaded it – no change.

    Can someone please help?

    It seems that a lot of your images are still missing. There are several issues now — some 403 (permission) errors and, as you noted, 404s.

    Go to settings->permalinks and click save a couple of times to reset your permalinks and to rebuild your .htaccess file.
