404 After Login

    I have a new install of WordPress (Mingus).
    PHP works Fine
    MySql Works Fine
    Apache Works Fine
    The WordPress install works fine, I get to step 3.
    Tables are loaded into mysql.
    I get to the login screen, but after I hit the “OK” button I get a 404 error
    I’ve confirmed that wp-login.php (well duh Im on it)
    The 404 address is http://locahost/wordpress/wp-login.php
    Any help would be appreciated!

    Oh…
    PHP Version is 4.38
    Apache Version 1.3.27
    MySql 3.23.49 (Client version)

    This doesn’t find the CSS..
    http://67.167.130.86/wordpress/wp-layout.css
    Also, clicking your name appears to give a blank page, but pressing CTRL-A highlights something.
    Errors have been reported here before when using WP from a home machine and the css url has been incorrect.

    AH… don’t use that site.
    Sorry. That site is working fine (the one associate with my name)
    I’m working on a Intranet setup.

    UGH – *SLAPS FOREHEAD HARD*
    I’ve done over 25 wp installs and on this one….
    ON THIS ONE….
    I forgot to change the path to the correct point in step2 of the install.
    Thanks for helping. Let this be a lesson… maybe it will help someone else.

    try this with your user name and password. – which is not your sql DB user name…but for webpress user name
    I just worked it myself.

    This is a step that you have to take before you can see anything… I hope it helps
