I retry on a personal blog to save categories to exclude and i havent the 404-error.
Can you maybe write more about your configuration (WP version, plugins, theme, …)

Why is this subject solved? I still got the 404 error!
First I have excluded 3 categories from the homepage and that went well. But when I tried to exclude a fourth categori I got the error.
When I installed your plugin, I got the message that it wasn’t tested with the latest wp version.
I use WP 3.8.1 with the Suffusion theme and the site i located i a subdirectory.

I re-open it.
I use this plugin in WP 3.8.1 and it’s work for me.
I look this week-end why you have this error 404.
To be clear:
this error comes when you try to add a new category.
if you try to add another category id, have you also this error?
if you delete the third category added and try to add the fourth category have you also the error?

The Error comes when I try to Save adding or removing any category.

i try to recreate your error, but everything runs corretly for me. I dont have any error 404 after more than 20 saves.
Can you give me your config (theme & plugins) to help me to find if there is a conflict with others things in WP?
Have you admin rights?
