Hi, when you say suddenly my affiliates head……….does that mean that it was working before?
Yes, it was working before. Up until about a week ago, I think?
Can you remember what you did prior to this issue? Did you update any plugins? Did you update the theme?
I probably did many of those things.
Possibly updated the theme? I don’t know, since I don’t accept the terms to be an affiliate all that frequently, I’m not sure exactly when it happened.
Is it normal to have that _trashed part in the url?
Hi, can you check to see if you have extra pages created for this plugin? You might have a few too many pages. The reason why I am asking is because of your reply above.
(although suddenly the plugin is sending them to affiliate-home-5 (?)
Also your affiliate is at the following page http://www.pullingcurls.com/affiliate-home-3/affiliate-register and the errors comes from the following page http://www.pullingcurls.com/affiliate-home-4__trashed?action=confirm&step=show_terms.
So you can see that there are 3 different pages. I am sure this is what is causing your current issue.
Okay I can see the issue as I pointed out above. You need to delete all the pages that are not needed for your site. For example make sure that all affiliate pages keep a standard URL structure.
Example:
yourdomain.com/affiliate-home/
yourdomain.com/affiliate-home/affiliate-register
yourdomain.com/affiliate-home/affiliate-login
Ok, and then do what?
What do I need to do in the plugin to send people to the right pages?
The plugin will take care of everything for you. Just make sure that all URLs are correct and they have the correct shortcode added. You might like to check the following documentation. It is a guide and shows you all the different shortcodes per page.
Let me know if you need more help.
Regards
Ok, should I change the settings page to say yourdomain.com/affiliate-home/affiliate-login in the plugin?
Oh… and that documentation page?
Yes you should change the settings page to say yourdomain.com/affiliate-home/affiliate-login in the plugin. As long as your URL structure is set up as I mentioned above.
What do you mean by.
Oh⦠and that documentation page?
So, I did all that, but it still sends them to http://www.pullingcurls.com/affiliate-home-3
I just re-published that page, and I think it will work now.
I was just wondering where the documentation you mentioned about short codes.
I don’t see it, but I think my problem is fixed now. π
Yeah, all of it still runs off of affiliate-home-3.
I just went through and made myself an affiliate…. so weird.
