    Hey,

I am in the process of creating my FAQ’s. However I am getting a very strange 404. The FAQ’s will be displayed on http://www.storyboardsocial.com/faq and they come fully expanded. However when you click on the (-) to minimise the FAQ so the answer is not seen it is linking to the permalink which is resulting in a 404. I want it to just minimise the answer, I also want the permalink to not result in a 404. I have published and created the FAQ. The perma link given is http://www.storyboardsocial.com/ufaqs/how-do-i-change-my-password/

Very confused as how to get the collapse button to actually collapse not link to the permalink and also how to get the 404 to not occur.

  • Hi dtonks,

For the 404 errors, you may just need to flush your permalinks, something that is often necessary when new custom post types are registered in WordPress. To do this:

    – In the main menu, go to “Settings > Permalinks”.
    – Scroll down, if needed, and click “Save Changes”. No need to actually make any changes.
    – Rewrite rules and permalinks have now been flushed.

For the minimize icon issue, I noticed that your theme has a weird loading behaviour in which, when you go to a link, it brings up this loading graphic for a moment and then just kind of transitions into the next page. I can’t really tell, but maybe your theme is rewriting how pages are loading. Either way, it looks like there’s a conflict there. Can you try switching to the WordPress default theme and checking to see if the FAQs function as they should?
