(404) Error during Final Authorization

    During the final step of the SMTP and am receiving a 404 error. After completing the google setup, I enter the IDs and select “Allow plugin to send emails using your Google account”. And after clicking the Google account + Allow I am redirected to a 404 page.

    I have contacted Bluehost and asked that WP Mail SMTP is whitelisted. I also made sure the app is up to date, but at this time I’m still experiencing the issue. Any ideas?

    Hi @starkdesignco,

    Thanks for reaching out! According to the information you have provided, it appears that your server’s firewall or ModSecurity rules are blocking Google API requests, preventing you from creating the Google mailer connection on your site.

    Could you please check the Debug Events section under WP Mail SMTP -> Tools to see if you can find more information about the issue? You can then provide that information to your hosting provider, and they should be able to resolve it for you.
