• Hi,

When I try and access anything on my site it says there is an Internal Server Error. And at the bottom of the page:

“Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

The only thing I altered was to deactivate dtabs which was a plugin I wasn’t using. Other than that I looked at some code but didn’t alter anything.

I’ve no idea what to do. Any help would very much be appreciated.

    Thanks

  • resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin. Also rename your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes.

Thankyou so much! It’s working fine now. I was a little worried when that happened! What would have caused this?

    Cheers

Not sure. Most probable cause is a bad plugin so when you do re-install your plugins, only install and activate them one at a time – checking the site thoroughly after each reactivation – until you find the culprit.

A slightly less likely candidate is your theme. Always preview a theme before activating it. If the preview is blank, do not activate that theme. It will bring your site down.
