    Hi @simondb,

Thanks for flagging this and for sharing the examples from your logs.

I’m taking a closer look on our side and checking with a few colleagues to make sure we’re not missing anything and to confirm the best next step here. I’ll get back to you as soon as I have more clarity.

Since you’re on a paid Jetpack Search plan, you’re also welcome to reach out to us directly via email if you’d like us to review this more closely with you

Thanks again for flagging this. We’ll keep you posted.

    Hi there,

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this. I checked this with our developers and wanted to share what we found.

The 404s you’re seeing for the jetpack-search-en_GB-*.json file are related to how Jetpack Search handles localization. In short, the Search UI is attempting to load an en_GB locale file, but that specific locale doesn’t currently exist in the plugin. When that happens, it automatically falls back to en_US.

In practice, this doesn’t affect search functionality or results, and the differences between en_GB and en_US for Search are minimal. While the 404s are noisy in logs, they shouldn’t be causing timeouts or a noticeable performance impact on the site.

One additional thing we noticed is that the site appears to be using a multilingual plugin. Jetpack Search doesn’t fully support multilingual setups at the moment, and this can sometimes surface edge cases like the ones you’re seeing.

We agree this is something we should clean up on our side, and we’ll be tracking it internally. For now, there’s nothing you need to change on your site.

If you notice anything else that doesn’t look right or if the behavior changes, feel free to reach out to us directly anytime. As mentioned earlier, since you’re on a paid Jetpack Search plan, we’re happy to take a closer look and dig in with you directly if needed.

    Best regards,
    Alin
