404 Error running Regenerate/Reset

If the “Regenerate/reset” feature functions properly on all other websites, the issue is most likely due to a conflict with a third-party plugin or theme code.

Ok, please try to run “Regenerate/reset” tool again and send me the screenshot with the browser’s console log.

There is one thing you can do to figure out what is causing the issue. When the “Regenerate/reset” tool is used, an AJAX request is made to the server. You should be able to view the result of this AJAX request along with the error notice if you use WP DEBUG mode.

Please open Developer Tools, go to the “Network” tab, choose “Fetch/XHR” as a filter, and then start the “Regenerate/reset” process. Then, on the list, you should see “admin-ajax.php” items, which you may switch to “Preview” to see the AJAX request result:

The error information should also be recorded in the server logs.
