Hi! I have made a footer that displays on my entire website. I need to make some changes to my footer, so I need to ‘edit with elementor’.

When using Method 2 in the Theme Support tab in Elementor – Header, Footer & Blocks, I am unable to edit my templates with elementor. I get taken to a dark screen that says ‘The preview could not be loaded – Not Found 404 ‘Click here for preview debug’.

If I change to Method 1, pressing ‘edit with elementor’ does open the elementor interface, but I’m taken to the 404 page of my website saying ‘404 ERROR – It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try a search?’

Either way I cannot access my footer to edit after publishing. This has happened twice now as I created a second footer after I was unable to edit the first, and I am now also unable to edit the second one.

The theme I am using is Ovation. I am also using another plugin that could potentially effect it, Unique Headers by By Ryan Hellyer.

Any help would really be appreciated.

Hi Rahul,

Thank you for getting back to me! I have tried changing the permalink when editing the footer. I can only change the name, I’m not sure if I can change the structure.

I changed the permalink from:
Permalink: https://farmfest.info/elementor-hf/footer/
to
Permalink: https://farmfest.info/elementor-hf/footer-test/

I am still getting the same 404 error as before unfortunately. When I press edit with elementor it still takes me to this page, regardless of the permalink:
https://farmfest.info/wp-admin/post.php?post=3731&action=elementor

Hello guys!
I am still getting the same 404 error.

I updated the permalink options, and changed the Really Simple SSL configurations, but i’m still getting the error: ‘The preview could not be loaded – Not Found 404 ‘Click here for preview debug’.
