Every time I try to update from version 1.4.1 I get a wordpress 404. This has gone on for months, with every version of WP.

Could you try deleting the plugin directory (see below) manually and then install the plugin from withion the WordPress admin interface?
```
/wp-content/plugins/creative-commons-configurator-1
```
This probably happens because the user that runs your wordpress (through the web server) does not have enough permissions to delete the files on the filesystem.
