• *** UPDATE: I figured out it was Wordfence. Without it enabled the rest api works fine. I’ve opened a support ticket with them. Thanks! ***

    Hello!

I’m seeing something very strange and I’m hoping someone can help. I did an update on a couple of plugins and something seems to have happened to the rest api.

When trying to send a new post to the API I started getting 404 errors. I’ve narrowed it down to it only happening when I set the author=something.

I’m running nginx and I checked to make sure something hadn’t tried to write an .htaccess file but nothing there. I also keep the nginx rules locked down and I know they didn’t change.

Is there someplace in the database or something that might have messed with the route so that including the author tag would mess things up?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer me. I’m pulling my hair out.

    Scott
