404 pages
-
Hi Polylang team! This might be fully 100% related but I am not sure either. Is there a way to assign the 404 page for each language so that when I translate the 404 page, then it actually shows the translated version to each person.
So if the person is visiting the /pt site, the 404 page would be the /pt 404 error? At the moment it always defaults to the 404 of the original language regardless of the user’s chosen language…
For reference, my page builder is Brizy Pro and they have an option to create dyanmic 404 pages but Polylang doesn’t recognise them/allow me to translate them. So I installed a plugin called Custom 404 pro. In this way, I could create a regular page on WP Dashboard > Pages (instead of WP Drashboard > Brizy > Templates > 404). So I created a regular WordPress page and assigned it as 404 using that Custom 404 Pro plugin. And then when I started setting up Polylang, I translated that page too. But if I visit on the font end for /pt and put a random slug next to /pt/xxx it takes me to the 404 page in english.
Would you have some guidance on this?
I’ll put the link above but I literally just started with Polylang so for the moment the translations are hidden. You can put “/pt” in front of it but I’ve hiddent the flags for the time being.
