4.1 – can no longer ping/ FB debug / G debug….

    Hi,

    I’m using WordPress for about 2 years but this time it puzzled me. I have updated to WP 4.1 version and now I can no longer “access” my website from ext.
    – I can’t ping it = Invalid host name (other then home page)
    ex: http://www.asculta.ro/consiliere/
    it returns with “Invalid host name”

    – Can’t debug any new posts neither FB or G+
    ex: http://www.asculta.ro/ce-ciudat-georgescu-aurora-03/
    it returns with: “Error parsing input URL, no data was cached, or no data was scraped.”

    Thought that it might be a conflict with security plugins but no luck after deactivating them and tried all tricks I knew.
    (I use Wordfence)

    Can anyone please give me a helpful hand?

    Hi Clod,

    It sounds like maybe the update went bad. If that is the case, here are some instructions to manually update WordPress:

    As for possible plugins that could be causing your issue, all 3rd party themes and plugins are major suspects when something goes awry during an upgrade. Thus, the best thing to do, before trying to manually update your site is to a) switch back to a default theme (e.g., Twenty Fifteen) and deactivate ALL plugins.

    If the problem goes away, then your update was successful and now the question at hand is which theme and/or plugin(s) is/are causing your issue.
