410 Gone (Themes missing in Admin)

    The requested resource
    /wordpress/wp-admin/themes.php
    is no longer available on this server and there is no forwarding address. Please remove all references to this resource.

    This what I get each time I try and select ‘Presentation’ on the admin page.

    Ive searched and neither my local folder nor my remote server install has a “themes.php” file in that directory. Why didn’t it get installed?

    the 2.3.3 zip (the one avail. on the download page that is linked to at the top of every page on this domain) does have a wp-admin/theme.php in it.

    If you dont see it, once you have unzipped the zip, youve made a mistake in the process.

    OK, Ive confirmed I have version 2.3.3 and that the themes.php and theme-editor.php files are located on the server in the wp-admin diectory.

    I reloaded those files to be sure they werent corrupt.

    I still get the same 401 error.

    Any other ideas?

    Found it. Rewrite rule on the server for a previous security issue related to “themes.php” was in place.

    Sorry for the bother.
