You can fix this by changing the function signature in the file to:
public function feedback($string, ...$args) { /* no output */
}
Same problem here…
I think we need to wait some OceanWP theme update…

I guess so – as long as it’s just a visual thing on my end, then I can live with it
Unfortunately, WordPress 5.3 broke a lot my website…
So, I’m using the Siteground backup feature to go back.
I will wait for the new OceanWP upgrade.
So it’s advised to NOT update your website to WP 5.3!!

That stinks – my site seems fine, it’s just while logged in I see the error – I’m not going to update my other site but I might ask SG to roll it back
Yes, I use Ocean Portfolio + Ocean Sticky Header + Elementor for my homepage and, after the WP 5.3, my header and footer were a really mess!!!
I spoke right now with SG support. You can only postpone the WP auto-update of 72 hours, but you cannot disable it.
So, I hope OceanWP team will update OceanExtra as soon as possibile.
Now I’m with WP 5.2.4 and everything is fine.
Same thing for me. I just updated my wordpress to 5.3, and all the sudden this shows up on my header.
Warning: Declaration of QuietSkin::feedback($string) should be compatible with WP_Upgrader_Skin::feedback($string, …$args) in /kunden/488580_50825/vermietungswelt/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/ocean-extra/includes/wizard/classes/QuietSkin.php on line 12
I tried getting rid of a few plugins, like W3 total cache, but nothing changed.
It is still there, but other than the visual, my Website is working fine.
What should I do, just wait for them to resolve it, or can I actively do someting now?
Thanks for any help.
Thank heaven for SiteGround – restored the site to yesterday, prior to WordPress update and bada-bing bada-boom. It’s the WordPress 5.3 update causing issues with OceanWP and/or Contact7.
Thats true just checked deactivating OceanWP and here we go, no problems anymore.
But the thing is what i want to use OceanWP. Should I just wait for next update?

I just used the plugin WP Rollback to rollback to an older version of Ocean Extra and now I can’t view my site or use my dashboard. Here is the error I see now:
Warning: Declaration of QuietSkin::feedback($string) should be compatible with WP_Upgrader_Skin::feedback($string, …$args) in /home/fairmoun/public_html/everyguitarchord.com/wp-content/plugins/ocean-extra/includes/wizard/classes/QuietSkin.php on line 12

There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.
I can’t even get into my admin side, so can’t do WP Rollback. Waiting on OceanWP to fix!
Mmm… if you are not able to get into your admin side, how can you update the Ocean Extra plug-in?
Can you restore an old backup?

If you are on Siteground, use the Backup Tool. I updated to yesterday’s version of both of my sites and I’ll update to the new WP version later or dump Ocean Extra. You can only delete a plugin via cpanel.
