Hello,
I’m sorry you’re having trouble! I assume you had these same files working with version 1.2.2 and have not changed the files and re-uploaded them recently?
If not or either way, please email a file in question to hello @ waterwoo.me so that I can test and try to reproduce the problem. It could be file settings or even maybe file permissions on your server.
Thank you!
Caroline
Hello Caroline/Support, can you provide the solution please? I am having the same 500 error. I will check permissions on the file directory (it is behind /public/), and also the file itself is a password protected PDF, so I will test if that’s the issue as well.
BTW, you should move the Watermark options, into the Product side of things, instead of the WooCommerce settings. Just my two cents!
Hi @evanevans333
I am assuming when you say you “are having the same error,” it means you are also running WP 4.5.2 and WaterWoo PDF 1.2.3, and when you open the link generated after a purchase it throws an 500 error. In that case, I would start by updating your WaterWoo plugin. 😉
Other than that, both the setups you mentioned could also cause problems with the plugin. How is the parser supposed to access a file it cannot find (it’s looking in the WooCommerce uploads folder) and cannot open (if it’s passworded)? I would love to have this plugin handle errors more elegantly, but it’s a free plugin, is generally undervalued… and you know how that goes.
As far as watermarking options moving, they’re in general Woo options where they belong. If you need individual product options for watermarking, that is part of the Premium version of this plugin. Thanks for the advice!
