• Hey I just started using this plugin and am expierencing issues with pages loading. It doesn’t happen all the time but is frequent enough that I’ve had to disable the plugin.

If I go to load the homepage or even the backend, the site will load right up until mod_fcgid timesout at the default 31 seconds. Of course, 31 seconds for a page to load isn’t good so upping the value to 60 or 120 seconds will do no good as people will have browsed away from the site by then.

My apache installation gives me this error log

    `[Tue Feb 17 16:07:31.422739 2015] [fcgid:warn] [pid 24638] [client 141.101.99.28:28711] mod_fcgid: read data timeout in 31 seconds, referer: https://website.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=toplevel_page_itsec_settings
    [Tue Feb 17 16:07:31.422966 2015] [core:error] [pid 24638] [client 141.101.99.28:28711] End of script output before headers: options.php, referer: https://website.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=toplevel_page_itsec_settings

I thought it could be due to server specs but this box only runs a lamp stack with 2 CPU’s, 2GB RAM and SSD’s for storing data.

Is there any reason why this could be happening or any suggestions to trouble shoot it? The logs don’t show much and when the plugin is disabled the site works just fine.

Some things to note: My site is behind cloudflare’s DNS and I have the cloudflare plugin installed so the IP’s going to the site are correct. I have W3 Total Cache installed to improve site load time, wouldn’t be too sure if this could conflict with the plugin.

    Plugin is Version 4.6.6
