500 internal server error
-
Hi.
I know there are threads about “500 internal server error”, but I’m a newbie and couldn’t find any solutions to my problem in those threads.
I have a blog at “www.mydomain.com”. This week I’ve been working on an other blog at “www.mydomain.com/testblog”. I’ve worked a lot with it and today I decided to change the permalink structure to “/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/”. This worked fine, but since I’m a newbie I also trid to add “/archives/%post_id%” so that the whole structure field looked like this: “/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/archives/%post_id%”
That was very stupid because after I did that, I got an error and the blog seems lost.

“Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.”

I guess I have to do something with the .htaccess file, but I’ve never touched that file before, so I’m totally lost. My blog at “www.mydomain.com” is working without errors and I’m afraid that I destroy that blog if I edit the .htaccess file.
I don’t have any vital post at my blog with the error so it’s not a big deal if the posts are gone forever, but the blog itself with all the plugins and modified css and php files are very important for me. How can I access the blog again? Can I just move the blog to another folder and delete the current folder? Please help me..
