This is probably due to some conflict with another plugin or theme or custom code. Unfortunately it’s impossible for me to “guess” what the cause might be, but you could look into your webserver logs to see what the cause of the 500 error is (if you don’t know where to look, ask your hosting provider). Then report the error log here.
