Getting 500 internal server error for wp-admin pages and some other pages after recent update

FastCGI sent in stderr: "PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Namespace declaration statement has to be the very first statement or after any declare call in the script in /var/www/html/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/vendor_prefixed/league/oauth2-client/src/OptionProvider/PostAuthOptionProvider.php on line 16" while reading response header from upstream, client: redacted, server: redacted, request: "GET /wp-admin/post.php?post=50&action=edit HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://unix:/var/run/php/php7.4-fpm.sock:", host: "redacted"

    Hello Deepakkumarq

I am sorry about the internal server error you experienced recently. The issue typically occurs when the plugin has not been installed correctly.

Can you please uninstall and reinstall again? By doing so, you won’t lose any SEO data and settings you previously set because those are stored in your site database. So, uninstalling the plugin doesn’t delete them.

Does the issue persist after that?
