500 internal server error using WP Social Login
-
Hi I’m trying to create a facebook login using WP – Social Login. I have set this up in Settings >WP Social Login.> Enabled on network tab (have filled in the Application ID and secret), When I then try and login via Facebook my page redirects to a page stating: mydomain.com This domain name has just been registered. Why is this page displayed?
I have ran WordPress Social Login Diagnostics and the WSL end points fail with a message that reads;
check if WSL end-points urls are reachable.
Error: Your web server returned “500 Internal Server Error” when checking WSL end-points.
This issue usually happen when :
1. Your web host uses mod_security to block requests containing URLs (eg. hosts like HostGator, GoDaddy and The Planet). On this case, you should contact your provider to have WSL end-points urls white-listed.
2. There is a .htaccess file that prevent direct access to the WordPress plugins directory.
In any case, WSL requires this url to be white-listed: http://mydomainname.com/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-social-login/hybridauth/
I’ve contacted my web host thinking this was the issue, but they say the issue is with the theme/plugin?I’m using 1&1 as a web host and having contacted them they say they are unable to do anything such as white list pages and suggested I spoke to WP Social Login Support?
Please advise?
