This just started happening this morning on one site. Showed up as as no stats and a 502 Bad Gateway error in Cloudflare when going between different stats… I de-authorized and tried to reauthorize and it continues… I’ve deactivated and reinstalled the plugin a couple of times… When I do that I can go through reauthorizing and get the authorization code and paste it in, in the usual manner via GADWP, but then the pattern repeats, the Cloudflare 502 error and the error log error pasted below…

There is a Google Analytics account of course, and on another site on the same google analytics account with the same authorization code, and with the same theme and most of the same plugins, Google Analytics Dashboard for WP is working just fine… Both sites got the auto 4.3.4 update yesterday…

Edit: I’ll add that this is happening in multiple browsers and for two different administrators a couple time zones apart, routing through different Cloudflare centers… I can also not find any other issues in any other areas of the Dashboard or for anything else regarding the site, front or backends, and Google Analytics was working perfectly last time checked, yesterday… And when I go directly into the Google Analytics account for the site’s Analytics stats all is just fine there.

Last Error: 2015-08-05 13:05:59: (403) Error calling GET https://www.googleapis.com/analytics/v3/management/accounts/~all/webproperties/~all/profiles?start-index=1&key=AIzaSyBG7LlUoHc29ZeC_dsShVaBEX15SfRl_WY: (403) User does not have any Google Analytics account.

    Update:
Though I have not found anything else in the Dashboard that is not doing OK, I am finding just now that when I try to do a reinstall of WP 4.3.4 via the updates section of the Dashboard I get the same 502 error from Cloudflare… Same whether Cloudflare is paused or not…

Try to logout from your Google Account and re-authorize the plugin. While logging in make sure you select the right Google Account (if you have multiple accounts).

Anyway, that 502 error makes me think that it could be something unrelated to GADWP (an internet connection issue, a Cloudflare issue, and so on)

I have done that and no change, and it turns out I am able to reinstall 4.3.4 after all… I am assuming it was some caching that caused the Cloudflare 502 notice to come up when I tried to reinstall 4.3.4 before…

But the issue still persists with GADWP, and I’m back to that nothing else is of issue on the site and GADWP is working on another very structurally similar very site, as reported above…

    Update-

This was found to be a conflict with Cloudflare’s Railgun feature…

Don’t know if you have any interest in looking at this…? Railgun is helpful…

    Kind regards…

That’s why cloudflare offers a page rule feature, to disable cache and other components for specific pages. You just need to setup your Cloudflare account properly, that’s all.

    Hi Alin,

I have a page rule feature established on all our Cloudflare WP sites for a long time now, that bypasses all Cloudflare caching and security from the admin area totally… it uses the site’s url and /wp-admin/* , with the asterisk being a wildcard to cover everything in the admin…

Yet GADWP still seems to have a conflict, specifically with Railgun… I wonder if you might have some further insight, or perhaps feel called to look into this a little more…?

You have way, way more understanding of the terrain as well as the inner workings of GADWP than I do, and any help from you would be greatly appreciated…

    Kind regards,

    John.

    Update:

Have just discovered that this issue occurs when I attempt to update a menu with Railgun enabled, and goes away when Railgun is turned off… So that moves it into a wider arena…

I am marking this as resolved, and thanks for giving it the attention that you have…

    Kind regards…
