• Hello,

I have two websites both hosted at the same company. Recently they’ve been having issues. When I try to view the websites, or login to the wordpress dashboard, they keep loading and the loading starts looping, and finally I get ” 508 Resource Limit Is Reached” I thought this was a problem with the host (I still do) but when I talked to them they suggested it may be a problem with the new wordpress version 4.4.

When I check the error log, I get multiple errors Including:

[16-Dec-2015 11:23:58 UTC] PHP Warning: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with ww.wp.xz.cn or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the <a href="https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/">support forums</a>. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to ww.wp.xz.cn. Please contact your server administrator.) in /home/shezenou/public_html/wp-admin/includes/plugin-install.php on line 158

And several others. I cannot even access the wp dashboard. What might be the problem? Please help.

If you are getting 508 Resource limit is reached then it’s simple: your host provider has cut you off for a limited time. Your site ran out of gas.

You can minimize that resource consumption with caching plugins that create static HTML pages instead of hitting your database with every page load.

    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/search.php?q=cache

But to be honest, that’s just a bandaid and you really should consider getting a more powerful hosting plan.

NOTE: Specific host talk will get this topic closed down in short order. 😉 Those get spammy real quickly. The short answer is that your host plan is out of gas.
