6.0 update, and preview draft button disabled….

    I’ve tested this back and forth between four sites now, two production and two draft, all using a mostly identical set of plugins.

    On a page that is in draft form, the “Preview” button that is to the right of the “Save Draft” button does not work when 6.0 is installed and/or activated. When the draft is saved and the “Page draft updated. Preview page” area at the top appears, that “Preview page” link does work. But the button still doesn’t.

    On one of the sites I tested on with all plugins but Plugin Organizer (5.7.6) updated, the “Preview” draft button worked fine. When Plugin Organizer was updated to 6.0 it stopped working. When Plugin Organizer was deactivated it started working again.

    ALSO, I wanted to say that I found the previous way that Plugin Organizer organized the plugins on the Plugin Page to be very handy indeed. I have even been using it on a couple development sites very explicitly just for that. Now that you have moved the plugin ordering and grouping to it’s own page that has disappeared. It would be very nice if that rearranging of the plugins page could still be there as an option, a choice in the settings page perhaps…?

    I’ve got an update that fixes the preview button. I’ll release it as soon as I have time.
    I liked it better on the plugins page too but it works better on it’s own page. The way I was doing it before had problems because the wordpress core doesn’t give you hooks to change the things I was changing. So I had to do everything with jQuery. Now since it is on it’s own page I can control everything on the server and I don’t have to worry about conflicting with other things on the page so much.

    Thanks for this, I’ll watch for the update, the button is necessary for someone using draft pages a lot… No way to add just doing that one reordering of the plugins as a separate choice, feature, function…? But am going with the flow, and very grateful for all your work… (-:

    I have released version 6.0.1 that should fix the problem with the preview button.
