I’m a huge fan of Document Gallery, making it much easier for me to integrate PDF files on websites. In some setups, especially when creating responsive layouts, I go for rather large thumbnails. The file size of the resulting PNG’s increase beyond whats necessary.

    1) Is there some way to configure Document Gallery to create 8 bit PNG’s instead, effectively reducing file size to quater? – or

    2) Some smart way to integrate with popular image compressions plugins like EWWW Image Optimizer og TinyPNG?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi Bjarne,

This is a good idea and one we are now investigating. I’ll update once we have more information.

    Hi Bjarne,

I spoke to the developer of EWWW today and it turns out DG should already work with EWWW. No change required 🙂
