Please do post in the support forum if you’re having any troubles: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/updraftplus . How did you determine that the problem was in UpdraftPlus? For example, UpdraftPlus itself warns, if you attempt to use email, that it’s not a good idea since most sites are too big to be received by most email servers.

It said it was backed up but was not Then I tried S3 and all I get is an error about access denied.
You said this plug-in was:

well I can’t it to work so I gave it one star and yes I’m sure it is a UpdraftPlus as I followed YOUR instruction failed watched a video and failed and again and again and I wasted my day so sorry about your blog that sits under your “RATE THIS PRODUCT” stars.

Then I tried S3 and all I get is an error about access denied.
This means that you did not enter valid login details for accessing your Amazon AWS S3 account. UpdraftPlus can’t, of course, force Amazon to allow access to your account, even if wrong credentials are supplied.

All I needed to do was copy the
S3 access key:

and if I got the folder wrong it would not matter, correct?
You must also enter a valid, globally unique bucket. As noted in the tooltip, in Amazon’s S3 system, bucket names are a single global namespace.
i.e. Bucket names belong to the first person who cl;aims them. So, if you choose something like “backups”, then someone else will have taken that bucket name over 10 years ago.

Thank you, that’s appreciated. If you want to change your rating (each 1-star rating needs us to get around 45 5-star ratings to recover the effect on our average), then you can do it at any time by going to the plugin page, here – https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/updraftplus/ – and scrolling to the “My Rating” heading in the right hand column, clicking on however many stars, and then adjusting in the screen that appears.
