"A script is running….."

    In the last month I’ve been getting a message saying “A script is running. If you don’t stop it it will disable your computer. Do you want to stop it?” I don’t know where it came from and I don’t know how to get rid of it. How do I get rid of it and keep it from popping up again?? Also, items that are posted via a menu have been disappearing and I have to re-post them. Does that have to do with the script, or is it a different issue? Need help! Thanks!

    As I said previously, gladwda, it only occurs in WP, so obviously there is a connection somewhere. Esmi- Thanks again. If I can’t figure out how to troubleshoot it according to the list you gave me, hopefully, I can get one of the guys who previously worked on the website to look at it. They have not been responsive in the last couple of weeks, which is why I finally resported to the forum. Thanks, again.

    Righto, its happening to wordpress sites. On your pc. To all sites.
    So there’s a connection sure, but it’s to do with your pc?

    Is what I was getting at. Good luck anyway, if you come up with a solution do let us know.

    Fingers crossed… I think we’ve got it! I was starting to deactivate each of the plug-ins and noticed a couple of the ones I was using on the website had updates available, so I updated them. The updates seemed to have resolved the issues that were going on! Thank you so much for your input, and keep a good thought! I think it worked!
