a simple slideshow with description, problem finding the right plugin

hi,
i’m creating a site using wordpress platform (not only for blogging)
and i’m having problems finding a plugin to manage a simple task:

in the frontpage I would like to insert, before the post loop,
a thing like “the featured post”, but only with one article excerpt and a slideshow showing the images of that post.

in simply term it would be a slideshow with a fixed column on the right showing the title, the excerpt and the read more button of the article.

by now i’ve found only plugin dealing with “the last 5 articles” or a list of featured article showing only one image per post.
