• I was trying to use this plugin for a classroom assignment at the university where I work, and the students were running into problems with their work disappearing. One of our faculty members suggested Canva. I have no relationship whatsoever with Canva so this is not a business pitch. One of the things you can create there is a timeline infographic. Functionally similar to what this plugin does. It also supports oEmbed, so you can copy a URL and paste it into your WordPress post.

    File: Create New Design

Use the search box to look for Timeline then pick “Timeline infographic”

Drag and drop the design you like onto your workspace.

Once you have it populated, use the “Share” button in the top right corner, and use the “Embed” option.

In the Embed choices, use the “Smart Embed Link” option. Click the “Copy” button and then paste the result into your WordPress post as you would with any oEmbed link.

I noticed that a couple of the timeline templates were only available with a paid account, but the first one offered (which I used) is free. I also don’t know if these are going to disappear after a 30-day trial.
